Book Blogger Hop is hosted at Coffee Addicted Writer

The purpose of the Hop is to learn about new books, make friends with other bloggers, follow other blogs discover new books and gain more followers for your own blog. The hop will start on a Friday and end on a Thursday and will feature a weekly prompt asking a bookish question.

This week’s question:

Do you think that overall work morale would be improved by having a “book lunch”, sponsored by the company, at least once a month, or perhaps once a week? (Participation would be voluntary.)

In my opinion I think this would not be for everyone because even though it would be great to see more people reading, at the end of the day they will want to spend their lunch times doing what THEY want whether it be reading or tending to personal matters etc. I do think it would help some people’s morale in work, though I can think of a lot of people in my college on last years course, when our course tutor arranged for us to have a session of reading in the college library, who weren’t readers, didn’t use reading to relax and generally thought it was a huge waste of time. In fact I think on saying that, I was the only one in my whole class who enjoyed and looked forward to those sessions, so overall perhaps people like myself and other bibliophiles would benefit from a book lunch though I think in the general frame of mind it wouldn’t be a good idea because at the end of the day people don’t on the whole get too long breaks off from work and they should be allowed to relax in any way they see fit whether it be reading or not 🙂 What do you think, would you benefit from a book lunch?
