Book Blogger Hop: October 11th – 17th

This week’s question:

Name a book that gets you in the mood for Halloween.

Hmm… can’t seem to think of any book that makes me think of Halloween specifically as I haven’t really celebrated it and I don’t often reread books 😛 I suppose anything supernatural that takes place in the colder months of the year is good to have and anything paranormal by Stephen King is also a must, (I still can’t believe I haven’t read more from him over the years 😮 what is wrong with me?) but what really appeals to me for this time of year are classic gothic novels (I need to get into those more I REALLY do, however don’t have the time) and wintry historical fiction with really immersive plots to get caught up in with the change of the seasons. But a book I really want to read for Halloween is Pet Sematary by Stephen King (I think he is going to dominate the topic of Halloween reading for me) and of course I still have my sights set on the Shining which is a book that I cannot believe I haven’t picked up yet 😛 There are a quite a few horror books on my TBR that I don’t know whenever I’ll get by to and the ones I want to read most at them moment are the ones from Stephen King as I have yet to be properly frightened by a book, films yes, but never a book…yet 😉
