Down the TBR Hole is a bookish tag created by Lost in a Story It is made to help us shorten our ever growing TBR piles!
Here’s how it works:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Currently on my TBR: 1289 books

I think Relic is the only one here that isn’t easily attainable where I am and as I said before, I’m not really in to indie short stories these days where there is a series and it is hard to get the next instalment or the next novel never gets released at all 😛 The rest of these books here I hardly did any checks on because the descriptions don’t inspire me at all especially Illusive which I’m not sure why I added as in recent years I have not been a fan of superheroes one bit. Zodiac sounded like it could have been a book I’d have liked but I’m going to remove it because space operas are also not really my first choice and once again it is the description that doesn’t really sell this to me at this moment. When I first started secondary school I remember I started reading Looking for JJ and I was intrigued even though I didn’t really understand what was going on, but I have looked at what other people have written about this one and the synopsis so a combination of those things make me feel this isn’t the book I want to read these days. The rest of the books here just basically make me give a giant meh when I read what they’re about, the new releases are calling me more!
To be kept
Daughter of the Flames is what I really look forward to reading here! Other reviewers have said this is an oriental type of fantasy which means I plan on reading it in a similar setting if the opportunity arises. Tabula Rasa I have found is available readily and I was unsure whether to keep it or get rid but I was ultimately won over by the description which hints at mystery and action a combination of things that make me really enjoy a book whatever the genre. A Thousand Pieces of You is a book my library has and while Evernight by the same author is a book I didn’t get on with at all when I first started reading it, ain’t nothing gonna stop me reading this one, it sounds just too damn good 😉 Dissonance and it’s sequel are also easy to attain online so I hope to one day request these from my library in the coming years. The one I’m most excited about here still is Daughter of the Flames because I managed to snag myself a good copy from a local charity shop, when I read it I don’t know, it seems likely to sit on my shelf gathering dust for years more to come 😛 lol
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend wherever you are 🙂
