Down the TBR Hole is a bookish tag created by Lost in a Story It is made to help us shorten our ever growing TBR piles!
Here’s how it works:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Currently on my TBR: 1297 books
To be removed
I’m afraid I still seem to be in that lethargic slump mood when it comes to books, but going through and weeding out my TBR should help in terms of getting the enthusiasm up again… or so I hope 😛 But about these books here, I have simply no more desire to read any of these without checking their availability or not as they just sound so cliched and insipid. I just feel that even if I did make a special effort to read these I wouldn’t really encounter anything special, but there again I guess I’ll never know. Scan and Lark Rising sound particularly lethargic to me and I can see some other reviewers are thinking the same. I know indie books are hard to get too so I tend to stay away from them these days.
To be kept
My library has all these books except for A Girl Called Fearless which looks to be available online for now. I will admit I was a little iffy about keeping Lord of the Changing Winds but saw it available on my library’s catalogue as well as readily available online. More to add to my order list when I’ve got more time on my hands! The Poison Throne was one I felt I should keep and I was extra thrilled to see my library had this series in stock even though I don’t know when if ever I’ll get by to finishing my monster of a TBR… Dark Eden is the one here I am most enthusiastic about because I just love these sci-fi novels with layered plots and hidden truths coming to the surface which this one promises to be. I know my TBR is still not getting any smaller but maybe in the next year I will come to have a chance to read more books such as these these…
I was thinking of doing this with my kindle book
