WWW Wednesday (21/8/19)

WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words

It consists on answering these three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading

The Scourge of Muirwood (Legends of Muirwood, #3)

I seem to be making slow progress through this and I’m not sure why because the story is as good and intriguing as the previous two in the series… I must say I am still loving the MC in this series, Lia as she is so strong and can just about face anything so the author has done a good job in building her character. Still can’t think of what is making this book so slow going but I know I will try extra hard tonight to get a good chunk of reading done but I so so hope there’s not another slump coming up 😛

Recently finished

Siren's Song (Storm Siren, #3)

Now this is a book that almost sent me into a slump, speaking of slumps. I find I’m very glad to have finished this series and must also say I found basically nothing special or heartwarming about this series or that ending. I won’t say it was a boring series because enough happened but it all felt kind of recycled and there wasn’t really anything that made me care for the characters or their world which was poorly described to say the least. I can now return this book to the library at long last after all this time I’ve had it!

What I think I’ll read next

Rebel Spring (Falling Kingdoms, #2)

The first book in this series was really engrossing with good world building even if the plot was a little predictable. My library has all these books in and I want to get back into them mostly because of that ending we got in Falling Kingdoms… I do hope there is a lot more intrigue in the coming books as well as more backstabbing betrayals and plot twists *evil laughs* 😈😬😖

  1. Oh no! I was thinking of reading that Siren’s series but will most likely steer clear now, ha. I have the first couple books in the Falling Kingdom series but haven’t dove into them. I really should since they have been sitting on my shelf for a year..

  2. I’ve been meaning to start the Falling Kingdoms series for ages now! I hope you will enjoy the sequel. Have a wonderful week and happy reading! Here’s my WWW.
