WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words
It consists on answering these three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently reading
At first this started off a bit slow but things soon started to pick up and I bet I can have this finished very soon. The characters aren’t the most relatable but the plot is really engaging and I really love the power of the Medium and how the author explains at the end of the book how similar things like this have appeared in various religious text from around the world. Oooh I love me these philosophical and mythology inspired fantasies! I have the other two books in the series at home too, so when I come back from my trip they will be among the many that need to be read from my library 😛
Recently finished
I didn’t exactly love this series ender as it wasn’t the most plausible or satisfying because there were many loose ends still hanging but it did feel good to tick off another series I managed to finish this year. I will write a review for this series on the whole but I will say the first book was the one that drew me in the most and I can see I’m not the only one to agree with that. All in all an exciting, suspenseful narrative with interesting characters but a plot that ultimately fell flat, not a boring read but quite frustrating.
What I think I’ll read next

For the first time ever I’m not really sure what to put here as last time I put Green Rider by Kristen Britain but ended up having to return the book in order to make space on my card for some Japanese inspired ordered books (I might end up having to return these too as the are book 2 and 3 in Lian Hearn’s Otori series so unless the first book arrives before I go away, these won’t be taken with me). I can also see that as I’ll be going away on Sunday there won’t be enough time to read another TBR book before the trip and I don’t know what to read now as my ordered books STILL haven’t come in to the library and if they don’t come by Saturday I’ll have to cancel them and pick up some other books from another library. I’m still eagerly anticipating these books so this time I’ll leave this space blank as I genuinely don’t know at the moment what to read next and it all depends on my circumstances with the library…
The Wretched of Muirwood sounds really good! I hope your books make it to the library in time. =/ How frustrating. Happy reading!

I keep hearing great things about Jeff Wheeler! I have only read Storm Glass and I really liked it, but he has a TON of books out!

I am sure I have one of Jeff Wheeler’s books on my Kindle – it may even be this one. I should try it out, as he seems to have written a plethora of books!
