WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words
It consists on answering these three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I started this a few days ago and it does seem really suspenseful and good but I’m hoping this will be a quick read as I need to free up space on my card for my Japanese inspired book I will take with me on my trip. I’ve also had this book out for a long time and there are many others that need to be returned and read soon too 😛 I remember really enjoying the first book in this series as it was action packed and structured really well. There was no world building and I don’t know if that’s going to change in a YA story like this and I know better than to get my hopes up but still I’m anticipating this to be fast and exciting like the first one.
This book was average for me even though I could tell the author had done a lot of research and was passionate about the subjects in this story. First of all I tend to prefer books that feature an ancient past rather than one a few hundred years ago and while this one was about ancient Britain, I found the story just dragged on for too long with not a lot happening until the end. I don’t know whether I’ll read more from this author or not but this book didn’t really have anything special about it.
What I think I’ll read next
I don’t often read the next book in a series straight after a previous book, but this time I’m just going to go for it because I have had these books out for so long and I need to get more books finished to make room for my holiday TBR. Like the other books in this series this sounds like it could be another action packed fast read because that’s what’s needed at the moment. Hope this is the grand finale a story like this needs!
