WWW Wednesday (22/5/19)

WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words

It consists on answering these three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading

Rot & Ruin (Rot & Ruin, #1)

A decent and different take on zombies that others have said has philosophical elements to it. The characters took me some time to get used to and the writing style really brings me into the story and world. I’m hoping for a lot more exciting action gory scenes and more plot twists which will hopefully mean I finish this book soon. Not that I’m not enjoying the story it’s just my massive library TBR you know? 😛

Recently finished

The Disappeared (The Disappeared #1)

I found this a quick and exciting read even though it lacked in many things such as the plausibility of the world and characters. The cover images and the blurb of my copy kind of gave me higher hopes for this book than I should have as it more or less promised revelations about the Academies which I didn’t get. I will read the sequel one day though even though that sounds less exciting than this one, but we’ll see 😉

What I think I’ll read next

Sirensong (Faeriewalker, #3)

A series that I’m going to finish at last! The first book in this trilogy was alright and the second kind of cringey but I do look forward to finding out how everything turns out for the characters and worlds. This is another book I hope to get finished as soon as because I tended to go through the other books in this series quite quickly and this is on my printed TBR (yes my support worker actually stuck a chart on the wall where we can write on and rub off the titles of books and tick the ones I have finished) so as always these books need to be returned because of the amount of books I have out from both college and public libraries…

Do you have uncontrollable piles of books from your library too? 😉 Enjoy your Wednesday! 🙂

  1. What? Uncontrollable piles of books? I think not. My books are in perfectly controlled chaos and disarray, I’ll have you know. xD

I actually have, like, six books out from my library right now and no earthly idea how I’m going to finish them all before they’re due (spoiler alert: I won’t). So I totally feel you on this one.

I haven’t heard of any of these books, but Rot and Ruin sounds interesting! Happy reading.

    Here’s my WWW post.
