WWW Wednesday (1/5/19)

WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words

It consists on answering these three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading

Fahrenheit 451

I’m going through a phase at the moment where I read a old classic dystopian books and as usual I need to get a proper move on with these books as I am above the limit of allowed books from my libraries 😛 This book in itself is not the best dystopia I’ve ever come across and I feel the ideas of books being the source of unhappiness are not as explained as I would like. Things move quite quickly in this story and I am close to finishing so maybe things will get better? This isn’t a boring book by all means but like the others I really need to get it finished ASAP.

Recently finished

Outlander (Outlander, #1)

I can totally understand why so many people love this series. It was obvious to me a lot of research went into this setting and I thought it was all brought to life brilliantly with a cast of interesting characters and an engaging plot. The general story in this book moved along at a nice pace which was sometimes slow and sometimes fast but I really enjoyed how everything was structured and eagerly anticipate reading the second book!

What I think I’ll read next

Until the Beginning (After the End, #2)

The first book in this duology was quite unremarkable to me as I found everything rather drab. Other reviews have said that this book moves along at a better pace with more action and hopefully more revelations which still intrigue me despite my earlier disappointment. The ideas in these books are certainly original but I felt they were not layed out very well but still I’m willing to give this book a go and really hope it will be a quick read. 😉

  1. My son just finished Fahrenheit 451. It’s been a while since I’ve read it. Outlander about wrecked me. That was an intense read! I haven’t read the Amy Plum books. I hope it’s worth the read to ya!

  2. I really liked Fahrenheit 451, even though it’s been a while since I last read it. That reminds me, though, that I wanted to watch that movie with Michael B. Jordan. Hope Until The Beginning ends up being better than you expect.

    Here’s my WWW post.
