Down the TBR Hole is a bookish tag created by Lost in a Story It is made to help us shorten our ever growing TBR piles!
Here’s how it works:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
- Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!
Currently on my TBR: 1114 books
To be removed
On looking back at my early GR TBR I can only say I must have been really obsessed with ghost stories and any kind of dystopia. All these books might be good if given a chance, but now, even though I do enjoy a ghost story from time to time (and the ones I’ve read have been quite bad), I definitely don’t jump at every one I come across, research into availability needs to be done before getting excited over any one book! The rest of these books I remember had been either recommended to me or the authors had friended me and that only made me naturally curious about their books. I haven’t looked for all of them, but I don’t think any of these books are available to buy where I am, my library and kindle TBR is too full and overwhelming anyway… 😛
To be kept
This is a book I was excited about since I first saw it when it came out and was even more excited when I saw my library had it and still has. However, I see that book three doesn’t look like it is going to be published anytime soon sue to “low sales” but the author said she might self publish it but things still look uncertain. I don’t know if I’m making the right choice in keeping this one but this world sounds so so up my street… I don’t know, I might change my mind one day but for now I still want to read this.
