WWW Wednesday is a bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words
It consists on answering these three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
At the moment I’m liking all the detail and writing style, I also think the author crafted his world in a really spectacular way as many times I was filled with wonder and I’m still at the beginning! I’ve read in some places that this author has written many SF novels some of which can be quite philosophical. 😀 It’s still quite early to tell but from what I’ve seen so far I think I’m going to get on with this book. That can all change though, I only think… 😛
Alice in Zombieland turned out to be a little disappointing mostly due to the facts that there weren’t any Alice in Wonderland references or at least none that I could see. Ali herself was an annoying character yet still I liked the way the story flowed and think I’ll soon read on in this series. Still don’t get why it’s advertised as an Alice retelling though…
Fight Club was a book I moderately enjoyed and got through quite quickly. It’s another book where the narrator remains unnamed, which I like as I’ve always enjoyed it when we don’t really know who’s narrating and they have no identity. In the end I think I got to like this story and way of writing yet I don’t know if any of this author’s other works intrigue me though… A decent read.
What I think I’ll read next
I’ve been really looking forward to this book for some time now. The people I have met who have read this say it’s quite philosophical with it raising questions of what it means to be human… I’ll be honest and say I’m quite drawn to a lot of the books this author has written because of the philosophical aspects and the fact that this author had become quite well-known in his lifetime. I can only hope this won’t be a letdown and that I’ll see why this authors works have become so famous 🙂
