Book Blogger Hop: July 27th – August 2nd

Book Blogger Hop is hosted at Coffee Addicted Writer

The purpose of the Hop is to learn about new books, make friends with other bloggers, follow other blogs discover new books and gain more followers for your own blog. The hop will start on a Friday and end on a Thursday and will feature a weekly prompt asking a bookish question.

This weeks question:

Do you agree or disagree with this statement: A blogger’s first name should be in a prominent place on his/her blog.

I kind of agree and disagree with this one, yes there should be a name of some sort on the blog so anyone who wants to message the blogger (e.g publishers, authors) has a polite name to go by. But on the other hand I can totally understand why some want to be anonymous as I used to be like that myself… 😛  But nowadays, in the long run I think the blogger’s name (or at least some sort of name as I can totally see why some are not comfortable using their real names and nobody should be made to do so, but something to call them by is nice 🙂 ) should be visible somewhere on the blog mostly so, like I said, anyone who wants to message the blogger or mention and talk to them has something nice and reasonable to address them by. Nearly all the blogs I’ve visited have had the blogger’s first name visible somewhere so it’s easier to remember them, I find 🙂

  1. It’s nice to see both sides to this question. I don’t think I’ve got my name on my blog as my blog isn’t setup as well as I would like (I’m not that tech savvy), but I do prefer having a name to address someone.
