My life/ books I’ve finished
Well it’s been back to college and back to ordinary life! I haven’t been really getting on with my mum last week as she’s going on a visit back to Thailand and we’ve been arguing about the time she’s away and how often she goes away (even though I do know she’s entitled to go away for as long and as many as she wants). I always do feel anxious when one of my parents is away especially mum, but I think it’s mostly because I’m a lazy sod and don’t want to do her chores while she’s gone, but I do sometimes worry she’ll go one day and not come back.. She has said she’d do this many times when she was angry and when we were arguing.
Anyway come Monday next week, dad will go away for a weeks break in Vietnam (he only seems to want short holidays) so me and my mum will have to get on, I just hope we can…. Today I went to the library and ordered more books (yeah I know, I’m out of control) and luckily they’re going to get some new ones in, which means I need to get a move on and get out of this reading slump! There’s still no news on when the library volunteering will start…. we hope soon as it will be a good distraction to family life 😛
In regards to books, well… I’m afraid I feel the start of a slump 😛 I’m not sure why cause the Clockwork Angel is not a boring book, just I don’t seem to want to read much despite the urgency lol 😛 😮
Books I’ve recently added to my tbr
The Diamond of Drury Lane by Julia Golding
I don’t know if I’ll ever get by to reading this as I have so much to do, however this does sound quite exciting and I wish I’d have come across it when I was younger.
The Gorgon’s Gaze by Julia Golding
I’m only adding this because I remember really enjoying the first book in the series when I was 13 and never found out about the rest of the series until later. The premises for these books sound amazing but time is so little…
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
There seems to be a lot of hype with this trilogy and also a lot of good reviews! The premise in itself is enough to make me want this and it also sounds like it could be more exciting than the Grisha trilogy (which apart from the Darkling I found rather flat), also I found out my library has this book and the next one yeeeesssss! Lol it could still turn out boring, you never know… 😛
