Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl come January 2018. It was made through the love of lists, books and to bring readers together.
First of all I’m sure a lot of other people know the feeling of having an endless TBR and some even take part in challenges (I have yet to do this) that help axe the books on their TBR they’ll probably never get to. I must admit my TBR has gone unchecked for many years meaning it just grew and grew 😛 While I do need to remove a lot of books, there are still some books there that I had been meaning to read for a long time but knowing me, life got in the way. Here are some books I still intend to read but have been on my TBR for years 🤣 (a lot of these books will be from parts of series that I started but never finished…. yeah I’m terrible for that 😛 )
The One by Kiera Cass
It has been approximately 4 years since I read The Elite, and yes I did enjoy it but I remember at the time my library didn’t have the rest of this series… I still plan to carry on though despite the hints at what happens.
Spark by Amy Kathleen Ryan
I read the first book in this series way back when I was 16 (I think it could have been longer!). It had a good storyline and I still remember the key points of the plot today but I do need to soon carry on with this series. I read they get better!
The Fox Inheritance by Mary E. Pearson
I remember I really liked the first book and have been meaning for years to read on. My library doesn’t have the rest of the series though so will have to request them at the desk.
The Uprising by Lisa M. Stasse
The first book I have read a long time ago but not only that, I’ve also more or less forgotten everything about it! Just need to find the time for rereads..
Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins
Another one where I’ve read the first book of but never continued and now I’ve forgotten the plot 😛 It wasn’t a boring series either….. and I absolutely adore those covers!
Shadowspell by Jenna Black
I do remember the plot for the first book…. sort of….. I so so so need to finish these series I start.
Once We Were by Kat Zhang
The first book completely took me by storm. I mean two souls in one body? And while it wasn’t executed in the best possible way I still liked the plot and characters. Must read on!
Chasing Before by Lenore Appelhans
Another one where the first book completely blew me away although I do remember it being a bit dull in places but that ending….
Middle Ground by Katie Kacvinsky
I just don’t understand why I only seem to read the first in a series then move on to something else?
Scramasax by Kevin Crossley-Holland
Finally! After so long this is a series I can finish (lol I just got this out from the library 😛 )! Hmmm…. perhaps I should have made it one of my bookish goals to finish off series I’d started years before? It’s not too late I guess…
